I just got back from taking an 82 year old woman to the polls. A veteran who served in Korea and Japan, it was fascinating to get to meet her, if ever so briefly. She got back in the car beaming and declared, “I voted for Gwen Mason!”

anders torian photoBack at the office things are humming. A dozen plus volunteers have filled our various offices and folks have spread out into the yard to phone in the sunshine.

I just touched base with our organizer on Luke Torian’s campaign, Anders Thorstenson. He sent a picture and had the following to say:

“We’ve been out all morning knocking on doors and reminding people to vote. There’s a lot of positive energy and everyone feels great going into the afternoon. The office is full of volunteers from the community and a number of organizations. We’re taking nothing for granted and will keep working to flush out our supporters.”

Less than six hours until the polls close!

Paid for by Human Rights Campaign Equality Votes, 1640 Rhode Island Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20036.
