NY_Marriage-webThe fight for marriage equality has been filled with twists and turns, and everyone in New York is ready to see a vote on this important piece of legislation.  Tomorrow, Tuesday November 10th, the New York State Senate is being called back to Albany in an extraordinary session called by Governor David Paterson. HRC and our partners have been working the phones, gathering letters, and making sure that every single New York State Senator has heard from their constituents on this issues.

Many in New York are frustrated and tired, but certainly not defeated which is why it is so important that everyone take action in the next 24 hours. If you have called your Senator, call him/her again. If you have emailed your Senator, email him/her again. Post this action alert to your facebook or twitter account. Email your friends and ask them to go to www.hrc.org/nymarriage and ask them to take action today.

We have fought hard for 11 months and we will cross the finish line victorious together, but only if we keep ensuring our voices are heard in Albany. Take action today so we can see a vote for marriage equality tomorrow!!!
