NJ election day phone bankToday the LGBT community in New Jersey and our friends from New York City have been supporting campaign efforts in the garden state. Bob Zuckerman traveled from Brooklyn to phone bank voters for Governor Jon Corzine because he knows just how much is at stake in this election.

We have called thousands of voters and been working hard knocking on doors. If you know anyone in New Jersey tell them to go vote. The final hours are crucial and we need to do everything we can to turn out the vote. Polls close in less than hours, tell your friends in NJ to go vote now!

Here’s another update from David Turley:

IMG00009It’s going awesome. Here we are in the final hours of the Corzine campaign. We’re two hours away from the polls closing in New Jersey and Maria Rubio, a teacher in Hudson County, and I are working hard to get the vote out in these last hours of the campaign. So far the response has been good. We’re going door to door in some large apartment complexes and while a lot of people have voted, there are still a lot who still need to get to the polls. It really is a race against time and we’re pushing extremely hard to touch all our ID’d supporters.

The scene on the ground is very very exciting and there’s a lot of energy across the state. It’s so great to be working with so many of our allies to turn out the vote for Corzine and I’m so excited to be working to re-elect a friend and supporter of marriage equality. Two hours to go!
