NJ ELECTION REPORT: It’s all about Labor, the Yankees, and yes, Corzine

Just a five minute drive from the Holland Tunnel, I arrived at the Hudson County office HQ.

With less than an hour to go before the polls close, every phone line was filled. Our labor allies, SEIUand the teachers remain just as passionate now as they were when some arrived at 5:00am. Yes, 5:00am (including HRC field organizer Anthony Hayes).
In addition to walk packets and phone scripts, we saw a unique GOTV tool outside: a truck with a lit up billboard of Obama and Corzine.
With the New York skyline as a backdrop, the cool breeze and rustling leaves along the Jersey City streets, and the smell of coffee and donuts inside, this close race for New Jersey Governor is about to close.
Soon we’ll be off to the party, with newfound friends, and, hopefully, a re-elected Governor Jon Corzine.
