We_Want_you-crowdFrom college campuses to faith communities, Washington DC is getting excited about phone banking! And with the election only 21 days away, we need all the help we can get! Already, campuses like Johns Hopkins, Howard, George Washington, American, Georgetown, and many more are organizing students to spend a few hours on the phones to connect with Maine voters about marriage equality.

Beating Question 1 – a referendum on the Maine ballot in November which would repeal a bill passed by the state legislature providing same-sex couples with the equal right to marry – will require an all hands on deck effort. HRC continues to run weekly phone banks on Tuesday and Thursday nights. If you live in the DC Metro area, we need your help! How about volunteering one day a week? Or one weeknight a month? For more information and to sign up, visit: hrc.org/dialforequality. Email Will with questions at will.nevius@hrc.org

Phone Banks at HRC headquarters have already reached 8,000 Maine voters!  Join in!
