Maine's Yes on One Campaign Releases New (False) Ad

Protect-Maine-Equality_LOGOThis election is starting to feel like déja vu…. just like in California, opponents of equal marriage in Maine continue to lie to voters saying that the issue is all about schools.  They’ve released a new ad (below) claiming “homosexual marriage” will be “pushed on Maine students.”  Voters should know that a memorandum debunking the Yes on One campaign’s claims (including their lies about schools) was signed by Maine Senate President Elizabeth Mitchell, Maine House Speaker Hannah Pingree, former Maine Attorneys General Steve Rowe and James Tierney, House Chair of the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee Representative Emily Cain, University of Maine School of School of Law Dean Peter Pitegoff and University of Maine School of Law Professor David P. Cluchey.
