Last night at a community forum on marraige equality, District Councilmember David Catania announced that he plans to introduce a marriage equality bill in DC next week.  With ten co-sponsors, the bill already has overwhelming support of the Council and Mayor Adrian Fenty has said he will sign it.

Also at the event were: Rev. Eric P. Lee, president of the Los Angeles chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference as well as Councilmembers Michael Brown (At-Large), Tommy Wells (Ward 6), and Phil Mendelson (At-Large).

There are lots of resources to learn more about the pending legislation and how you can get involved.  Visit dcourtimeisnow.org and learn more through DC for Marriage by signing their pledge, becoming a fan on Facebook, and/or contributing a donation of any amount.
