Protect-Maine-Equality_LOGOMarriage equality is under attack in Maine, and just like in California, our opponents have already begun airing commercials based on lies and fear (in fact it’s the same commercial!).  But no matter where you live, there’s something you can do about it.

We can’t leave our friends in Maine alone to stand their ground against these attacks. We need to rally to support the local effort! No matter where you live, there is a way to help win this fight.

The campaign is running a national phone bank this Sunday that you can do from your own home with a phone line and computer (the web-based software means no long distance fees or any cost to you).

The first training call will be tonight at 7pm Eastern for this Sunday’s National Day of Action. We need you to call from home and remind progressive voters in Maine to “Vote No in November”, and protect the right of gay and lesbian couples to marry.

More info on their Facebook event and to sign-up, go to: www.protectmaineequality.org/phoneformaine.
