WA-DP-approve-ref-71_logoYesterday, HRC Seattle members met at the Equal Rights Washington office to phone voters reminding them to vote to APPROVE Referendum 71. The biggest challenge we faced on the phones wasn’t support, it was the confusion surrounding the referendum. “If we support domestic partnerships, do we vote YES or No on the referendum?” This is an APPROVE/Reject Campaign and the only way we’re going to win, is to contact our voters and tell them the truth.

If you’re in the Seattle area, join us on Tuesdays from 5 to 8 pm at the ERW office at 720 7th Ave. in Seattle. You can also join in by calling from home!

For more information regarding the campaign and how you can get involved, contact adrian.matanza@hrc.org or visit the campaign at ApproveReferendum71.org.

Ed. Note: This post comes to us from Adrian Matanza who is working for HRC as a field organizer in Washington State.
