maine-phone-bankWhile I’m on the subject of helping statewide LGBT campaigns (see earlier Washington State post), HRC is offering those of you in DC a great opportunity to help the campaign to preserve marriage equality in Maine

Over the next several weeks, we are recruiting volunteers to call voters in Maine to identify supporters of marriage equality and to remind them to vote NO this November on a ballot measure that would repeal marriage rights. The campaign is counting on volunteers from across the country to help in this fight. We need your help!

WHEN/WHERE?
Dialing for Equality will happen several nights a week in September, October, and in the days leading up to the election in November. All phone banks are located at the HRC Headquarters in Washington, D.C., 1640 Rhode Island Ave. NW and last from 6-8:30pm.

As always, dinner is provided and it’s a fantastic opportunity to network with other like-minded individuals.

Sign up and pass along the information to friends: http://tiny.cc/HRCdial.

SIDENOTE:  Check out these two editorials on marriage equality in Maine: The Sun Journal and The Bangor Daily News.
