Fight Hate NowThe Senate Judiciary Committee has posted notice of a hearing next Thursday morning on the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act.  It will occur June 25th at 10am in Dirksen 226.  Testifying at the hearing will be Attorney General Eric Holder as well as other witnesses.

This is an opportunity to continue the momentum for the long-overdue passage of the Matthew Shepard Act that would empower local law enforcement to protect LGBT people from the scourge of hate violence.  Take action today at FightHateNow.org.
