Hoping for History in Hampshire

I just arrived at the state house and a team of volunteers are sitting on the steps of the State House - cups of Dunkin’ coffee in-hand.
As I walked up along Court Street one of the officials who showed up to swear-in Andy White, who won a special election last night, said, “it’s going to be a good day today. The sun just came out. Good to see her smiling down on us.”

A friendly state trooper just came by and reminded us not to carry signs into the state house. He told us of a time years ago when a  sign holder accidentally damaged a painting of a former Governor in the statehouse.
