Today the Human Rights Campaign raised the Maine flag over its headquarters in Washington, DC on the day that Maine Governor John Baldacci signed a marriage equality bill passed by the state legislature, making Maine the fifth state in the U.S. to allow same-sex couples to legally marry under state law.
