Domestic Partnerships signed into law in Washington state

Today Washington Governor Christine Gregoire signed into law a bill that expands the domestic partnership statute to encompass nearly all of the rights of marriage under state law.  As she put it, “today we are strengthening Washington by strengthening families.”

Already opponents are gathering signatures to take away these important rights and protections from same-sex couples and their children.  If you live in Washington state, take action and pledge to decline to sign referendum 71.
