iowa-10The Iowa Supreme Court announced today that it will issue a ruling tomorrow in the case of Varnum v. Brien.  The case was litigated by Lambda Legal on behalf of six couples who were denied marriage licenses in Polk County.  A lower court ruled in favor of the couples, determining that the state had violated the Iowa Constitution in denying marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

The ruling will be issued at 8:30 AM CDT tomorrow and will be available online at http://www.iowacourts.gov/supreme_court/recent_opinions/.
