A diverse sampling of couples line up to be among the first to marry in West Hollywood

While George Takei and Brad Altman brought a good dose of star power to West Hollywood Park where marriage licenses were being issued for gay and lesbian couples, I talked with local couples who braved the early morning heat to stand in line for their marriage licenses. As we’ve already reported, couples starting lining up at 7 a.m this morning and there was a tangible feel of excitement in the air to be among the first couples to marry in Los Angeles.
