7daysgraphic_3We had politics from the left and right, entertainment and some tips on securing your family’s financial future last night on The Agenda with Joe Solmonese.  If you missed the show with Joe and co-host Mary Breslauer – or if you just didn’t get enough of it – here are pleased audio clips of some segments of the program:

Joe Kapp, financial planner and Advocate money columnist

Kapp talked about HRC’s “7 Days to a Better Financial You” campaign that is using this year’s tax season to encourage GLBT Americans to get their financial house in order.  LISTEN HERE.

·         Lara Schwartz, HRC Legal Director

Schwartz outlined HRC’s new “Family Matters” legislative agenda launched yesterday that seeks to remedy the financial inequities faced by same-sex couples.  LISTEN HERE.

Lara and Joe will be featured with our state legislative director Christopher Edelson and attorney and estate planner Brenda Cooper-Jackson during our live webchat on Thursday at 3PM EST. JOIN US at www.hrc.orc/chat to get your questions answered on how to properly navigate the complicated legal and tax laws for GLBT individuals and couples!

If you have questions that you would like to submit before the chat, you can e-mail webchat@hrc.org. If you are unable to join the chat, the entire transcript will be posted here on Back Story and at www.hrc.org/chat after the chat is completed.
